Please phone us TODAY if we can help you with any of your marking needs. Thank-you! March 18, 2008 We have changed our pricing significantly... As a result of the change in U.S. and Canadian dollar values and the economic upheaval in the Forest Industry, like everyone else in the industry, we have been looking for ways and means to reduce our costs. The result of this effort is, 5/8 FoxFire Lumber Markers are significantly reduced to $1.15 per marker while 7/8 Lumber Markers are equally significantly reduced to $1.65 per FoxFire Lumber Marker. A 10% Discount is available on purchase volumes of 10 gross, or more, in the 5/8 inch size and 6 gross, or more in the 7/8 inch size. With the purchase of new weigh scales and implementation of new procedures, we have also strengthened our stub recycle program to enable us to offer $0,50 per pound on the recycle of all FoxFire Lumber Marker stubs. In addition, if requested, we will also provide documentation required to meet ISO Standards requirements. The U.S. and Cdn dollar exchange are to be offered at par. These price changes, which, along with the demonstrated high quality of our product, will make FoxFire Lumber Markers considerably more competitive and help provide a cost effective solution for the industry. June 25, 2005 As part of our continuous challenge to providing best in class products and services, RDT has changed the recycle credit process to provide faster recording and application of your credit dollars. In addition to our commitment to reduce waste, RDT will provide a credit of C$0.50/lb - US$0.40/lb - of recyclable material to customers who recycle their FoxFire Marker stubs through the following address. This credit will be applied against future purchases of FoxFire Markers. To ensure your credit is applied in the quickest and most efficient manner, please label and send your stubs to: Resource Development Technologies Ltd April 27, 2005 RDT is pleased to assist The BIG Little Science Centre in Kamloops, BC, by donation of fluorescent materials for their display and for use in teaching. June 6, 2004 Web Site Upgrade Completed Regular visitors will have noticed the new look to our web site, and the increased content. February 10, 2004 RDT's #307 Ocean Blue Beats Background Fluorescence Problems. Sawmill operators know that some wood species exhibit a natural blue fluorescence which can make mark reading more of a challenge. Mills which run these species sometimes include a blue filter to hide the background fluorescence from their RGB reader camera. This can increase error rates for weaker blue markers, and can significantly decrease the number of separate marker colors the reader can identify. RDT undertook detailed measurements of background fluorescence from timber samples provided by a customer, and also measured marks from our #307 Ocean Blue marker on the same timber. The study confirmed that our #307 Ocean Blue marker was many times brighter than the background fluorescence, thus allowing accurate mark reading even in the presence of natural background fluorescence from these wood samples. January 31, 2004 Mint Green Makes Its Debut Following a request from a customer, RDT has developed #1046 Mint Green, a bright pastel green lumber marker which has strong green-blue fluorescence. The marker is now in production and the first order has been shipped. While generally applicable, it is particularly useful for marking dark wood, where it provides excellent contrast. Samples are available immediately to existing industry customers.
July 10, 2003 Four New Colors Help Color Separation. RDT is pleased to announce the introduction of four new colors, #1055 Tropical Orange, #1056 Teak Brown, #1057 Firebrick Red, #1058 Neon Green. These were developed in collaboration with a customer and optimized to maximize colour separation, brilliance and break strength. They are suited for use with all grade mark readers. When used together, they provide some unique advantages to users who wish to run a larger number of colors on readers based on standard RGB camera systems. Samples are available immediately to existing industry customers. March 30, 2003 Glacier White and Blackberry Purple now brighter by design! RDT is pleased to announce substantial brilliance improvements for two marker colors. Following availability of new materials, we have been able to double the fluorescence output from our #451 Glacier White (fluoresces blue) markers, and nearly triple the brilliance of our #312 Blackberry Purple, without changing the visible or fluorescent colors of these markers. These results have been confirmed by our test facility. Similar brilliance improvements will be implemented for our other blue fluorescing markers. The brighter markers are available to our customers effective immediately. RDT regularly tests new color materials to ensure its customers receive the brightest possible product.
December 27, 2002 Taking Testing To The Next Level. RDT is pleased to announce completion of its fluorescence spectrophotometry test facility, located in its Richmond, BC, product development centre. This instrumentation extends RDT's QA/QC capabilities. It is providing RDT with hard scientific data to further improve its product line, increase competitive advantage, and better meet customer needs. June 30, 2001 Azalea Pink Now Available. RDT is pleased to announce introduction of its new #602 Azalea Pink marker, which is available in all hardnesses and 5/8" and 7/8" diameters, effective immediately. The marker is a brilliant fluorescent pink under visible light, and provides a well defined, bright deep orange mark under black light conditions. It can be used on all grade mark reader systems as reading of its fluorescence is unaffected by blue filters. Please contact us so that we can help you meet you specialized marking needs.
